On May 29 the WHIL-Radio Reading Service marked its 13th year on the air with a series of features entitled "Visions of Hope and Opportunity" that aired on main channel WHIL.
The features touched on our service, but mainly focused on blind and visually impaired people in our community succeeding at work, in school and in their daily activities. Features also looked at organizations working to increase opportunities for the blind, doctors who work with low vision patients and those doing research aimed at preventing, treating or curing leading causes of blindness and a look at disability and the law in the workplace.
